Glasgow Quantum Ltd was founded in 2025, a year of dual significance: the UNESCO International Year of Quantum and the 850th anniversary of the city of Glasgow.
We are proud to be part of Glasgow’s long-standing engineering story, existing to bridge the gap between world-class quantum research and the practical, high-stakes requirements of modern industry. We focus on how quantum technologies perform in the field.

Meet the Founder
Dr Craig Colquhoun has spent ten years at the leading edge of quantum technology. His career has been spent bridging between two worlds: the high-precision environment of academic research and the rigorous, pace-driven requirements of industrial product pipelines.
He founded Glasgow Quantum to address the 'last mile' of quantum adoption. Having navigated the complexities of designing and testing optical systems for demanding space applications, he brings an operational mindset to every project. He is committed to providing the independent engineering expertise and training tools necessary to move quantum technology from a laboratory concept to an industrial capability.
